FAQs

Q?

What is Tantra?

A.

Tantra is a spiritual Path with the purpose of Awakening/liberation - 5,oo0 years old - some say  original in India, and some say original in China with the name Tao.

Tantra (in Sanskrit) means Liberation through Expansion, and it means that abig part of the practice is about expansion of our awareness, senses & our creative life force energy (sexual energy) all the way to the liberation.

When we make love - the Tantric way, we come into Oness, we experience Liberation, no mind, no self, no time - our infinite true self. From this experience we come to realise that we can experience Oness with everything. In other words Tantra is making love with everything that exist in this moment!!

Furthermore Tantra is about the Sacred Union between Shiva and Shakti, the masculine and the feminine, in ourselves and with a partner. We practice gratitude for our partner, for sharing his or her sacred love and energy with us. When we can see the beauty in our partner, we actually can see the beauty in ourselves. We acknowledge that connections, interactions and consciousness can support us to be present—the only place where love exists.

Q?

Do I have to be naked?

A.

We practice  that we don’t have/should/must/need to do anything. We place a lot of emphasis on recognizing, honouring and expressing our personal boundaries. You will have plenty of choices on how to participate, or not to participate in any given part of the retreat.

Another important aspect of the retreat is the practice of acceptance of ourselves completely, as we are. This includes loving our naked body, and releasing shame, guilt and fear, about our nakedness and our sexuality.

Further more - nakedness get us to be Vulnerable, and this is one of the most important Pillars of Tantra and intimacy.

And again it is going to be your choice if and when to be naked.

Q?

Who are the retreats for?

A.

The retreats are open to everyone (beside the Tantra Temple retreat). For people of all genders, cultural backgrounds, ages, sexual preferences, types of relationships, with or without experiences in Tantra.

For singles & couples.

The age ranges from 16–70 years old with most people between 20 and 55. We have given the retreats in 3 continents now to all different kinds of cultures. The occupations of the people differ, from mathematics PhD professionals, to dance teachers and students. We design the retreats in a way that allows everyone to participate fully. The retreats attract a wide range of people and that is what we love about it!

Q?

How many participants are there are in every retreat?

A.

The number of participants differs depending on which retreat you attend and depending on the venue. For now Free my Mind has a maximum of 18 participants, Free my Heart 36 and Free my Soul 22.

Q?

Do I need to have a partner for Free my Heart or Free my Soul to for the Tantra Temple retreat?

A.

We create the retreats in such a way that they are completely comfortable, safe and equally valuable for both couples and singles. In our retreats we start with connecting to ourselves before connecting to others. Once we connect to ourselves, we will connect with a partner for a specific meditation/practice. All meditations and practice can also be done individually.

We encourage everyone to connect with everyone, to see what it is I see in myself with different mirrors, and to experience that we are able to share ourselves with everyone in an authentic and honest way, according to each one's boundaries in every practice or meditation. If you participate as a couple, it is possible to work together exclusively. If only one person of couple joins the retreat, already big transformations can be seen in the relationship.

Q?

What is the retreat schedule?

A.

We prefer not to give you too many details about the retreats schedule in order for you to let go of control, to surrender to the process of the retreat, and to release expectations. The meditations take up the full day where an average retreat day starts around 08:00h and ends around 20:00h, including several breaks.

Between the meditations there are short breaks, to give you some time to digest and connect to the other participants and facilitators. Most of your free time will occur at brunch around noon and diner time, when there are longer breaks (one hour or more). We advise the participants not to schedule anything (no phone calls, work etc.) for the duration of the retreat..

Q?

How about practicalities such as food and accommodation?

A.

We will provide healthy vegan meals during the retreats, and there be tea and snacks available. We incorporate 1,5h hour meal breaks to integrate the intense meditations and practices.  If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know. We advise you not to consume any intoxicants (drugs, alcohol, sugar, etc.) in the few days before the retreat in order to clean the body.

Accommodation is included in every retreat.

Q?

What if I cannot afford the retreat?

A.

We have seen that our retreats can have a big impact on people’s lives.

We believe the best Investment is in developing oneself (don't you?), and we invite to consider that the the more I pay - the more I get.

If I say "I don't have enough money" according to law of attraction I create the the lack in my life, and if I spend money, I get money, as part of the circle of abundance.

So.... hen you totally honest with yourself - did you make all efforts to find the way to get this amount?

If you really cannot afford the full price of thre treat you can apply for a scholarship. A scholarship means that we can talk about a special arrangement, for example to pay in instalments or possible discounts in return for supporting Magic of Love. You can apply for one by sending us an e-mail explaining why you are applying for a scholarship and / or how you can offer support.
