FAQs

Q?

What is sacred sexuality & Tantra?

A.

In Sacred Sexuality and Tantra we acknowledge our body, our sensuality, our sexuality, our thoughts, our feelings, our desires, our boundaries and our fears. We practice to accept with gratitude, say yes and open up to everything there is. We release shame, fear and guilt to come back to our true loving nature and expand our hearts.

Furthermore Tantra is about the Sacred Union between Shiva and Shakti, the masculine and the feminine, in ourselves and with a partner. We practice gratitude for our partner, for sharing his or her sacred love and energy with us. When we can see the beauty in our partner, we actually can see the beauty in ourselves. We acknowledge that connections, interactions and consciousness can support us to be present—the only place where love exists.

Q?

Do I have to be naked?

A.

We practice in the workshops that we don’t have/should/must/need to do anything. We place a lot of emphasis on recognizing, honouring and expressing our personal boundaries. You will have plenty of choices on how to participate or not to participate in any given part of the workshop.

Another important aspect of the workshop is the practice love and acceptance of ourselves completely, as we are. This includes loving our naked body and releasing shame, guilt and fear about our nakedness and our sexuality. There is no explicit sexual activity, such as intercourse or oral/genital contact in our workshops and nudity is not required to receive the full benefit of the workshop.

Q?

Who are the workshops for?

A.

The workshops are open to everyone. For people of all genders, cultural backgrounds, ages, sexual preferences, types of relationships, with or without experiences in Tantra and singles or couples.

The age ranges from 16–70 years old with most people between 20 and 55. We have given the workshops in 3 continents now to all different kinds of cultures. The occupations of the people differ, from mathematics PhD professionals to dance teachers and students. We design the meditations in a way that allows everyone to participate fully. The workshops attract a wide range of people and that is what we love about it!

Q?

How many participants are there in one workshop?

A.

The number of participants differs depending on which workshop you attend and depending on the venue. Typically, Free your Mind has a maximum of 15–20 participants, Free your Heart 35–40 and Free your Soul 15–20.

Q?

Do I need to have a partner for Free your Heart or Free your Soul?

A.

We create workshops in such a way that they are completely comfortable, safe and equally valuable for both couples and singles. In our workshops we start with connecting to ourselves before connecting to others. Once we connect to ourselves we will connect with a partner for a specific meditation. All meditations can also be done individually.

We encourage everyone to connect with everyone to see what it is I see in myself with different mirrors and to experience that we are able to share ourselves with everyone in an authentic and honest way. If you participate as a couple it is possible to work together exclusively. If only one person of couple joins the workshops already big transformations can be seen in the relationship.

Q?

What is the workshop schedule?

A.

We prefer not to give you too many details about the workshop schedule in order for you to let go of control, to surrender to the process of the workshop and to release expectations. The meditations take up the full day where an average workshop day starts around 09:00h and ends around 23:00h, including several (longer) breaks.

Between the meditations there are short breaks, to give you some time to digest and connect to the other participants and facilitators. Most of your free time will occur at brunch around noon and diner time when there are longer breaks (one hour or more). We advise the participants not to schedule anything (no phone calls, work etc.) for the duration of the workshop.

Q?

How about practicalities such as food and accommodation?

A.

We will provide healthy vegan meals during the workshops and there be tea and snacks available. We incorporate 1,5h hour meal breaks to accommodate the intense meditations and connect. If you are have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know. We advise you not to consume any intoxicants (drugs, alcohol, sugar, etc.) in the few days before the workshop in order to clean the body.

Accommodation is usually not part of the Free your Mind workshop. In the Free your Heart and Free your Soul workshop staying at the venue overnight is an important aspect of the workshop.

Q?

What if I cannot afford the workshop?

A.

We have seen that our workshops can have a big impact on people’s lives.

We believe the best way to invest is in developing oneself, coming to love oneself unconditionally. Are you sure you cannot save money for this?

If you cannot afford the full price of the workshops you can apply for a scholarship. A scholarship means that we can talk about a special arrangement, for example to pay in instalments or possible discounts in return for supporting Magic of Love. You can apply for one by sending us an e-mail explaining why you are applying for a scholarship and / or how you can offer support.
